Jill Vanstone

I trained and worked as an illustrator, before committing myself to full time animal portraiture.

My preferred medium is acrylics, but I work mostly in mixed media, pastels and oil paints. My style is realism, but towards expressionism.

I live in a scenic part of South Eastern Queensland, Australia, on a small farm with my husband who breeds droughtmaster cattle.

My paintings have given me many wonderful opportunities, I have travelled to the USA and the Middle East, and France.

I have also been involved for some time with the Queensland Challenge Show, another highlight has been providing artwork for the World Crabbet Convention in 2005, and for the Egyptian Event in Kentucky on several occasions. I have paintings hanging in many countries worldwide and have been fortunate in meeting the most wonderful people ...the love of and passion for the Arabian horse unites people from all walks of life!
